Originally published in “Basal Facts, The International Journal of Biologic Stress and Disease,”in 1981, this scholarly work details the physiologic foundation of Dr. Levy’s treatment methodology. In his 22-page Monograph Dr. Levy provides a historical overview of mandibular re-positioning concepts, the evolution of dental, orthodontic, surgical and TMJ treatments; as well as the implications of these treatments. In addition, he reviews multiple case studies of patients which are abundantly documented with before-and-after oral photographs, facial profiles and radiographs of their TMJ symptoms and response. He cites many academic papers, studies and articles, providing references to each.
